Siendo instructores de baile, hemos visto que uno de los retos principales al que se enfrentan los bailarines de Salsa es el de bailar en tiempo. La mayoría de gente puede aprender patrones, pasos y hasta vueltas, pero por alguna razón bailar en tiempo es algo que se les dificulta hasta a los bailarines avanzados. Parte de este fenómeno está relacionado con el hecho de que el tiempo se aprende a través del sentido auditivo, y no a través de nuestro sentido visual, como en el caso de patrones y pasos.  Muchos bailarines siguen primordialmente dos tipos de estilo de aprendizaje: kinestésico y visual. Para que un bailarín se vuelva muy musical, también tiene que desarrollar la habilidad de aprender la música como un músico lo haría, a través del sentido auditivo.

These learners need to see the teacher's body language and facial expression to fully understand the content of a lesson.
