Hi there
I hope u are doing it great

The check to spiral breakdown video is not included in the advanced categories. Is there any particular reason for this situation?

Thank you so much

Thank you so much Carlos for prompt response to my request

I forgot to mention that the video I'm looking for is ON 1

If you check into the advanced patterns, this video and the one called Crucifix with a Twist On 1 breakdown, are not found. The On2 versions for these 2 videos are the only one considered in it.

Regards

Greetings from Monterrey

Ahh, got it! Indeed, for the Advanced category, the breakdowns are mostly only on the "On2" timing. We do have a separate video that shows the move with counts "On1" though.

Here's how most of our videos showing combinations (either patterns or footwork) are organized:
- One video showing the combination with music and COUNTS "On1" (LA style)
- One video showing the combination with music and COUNTS "On2" (NY style)
- One video showing the breakdown. This typically is shown "On2". The reason why we usually do not include the breakdown in both timings is because the technique is Exactly the same, no matter whether you are dancing On1 or On2. The "breakdown" is mostly to give you pointers as to how to properly execute the move. The pointers can be applied when dancing on any style.
Furthermore, if there's any particular part where you'd like to know the exact beat on when to do something on the "On1" style, you can always refer to the video showing the counts "On1". You can also refer to the "Fundamental Techniques" videos where we have each "element" of a combination broken down "On1" and "On2".

This avoids having "duplicated" videos, with pretty much the same information. And we usually do this for the Intermediate and Advanced categories, where dancers can typically pick it up a little faster than beginners. For the Beginner categories (including the "Intro to On1" and "Intro to On2", we do have the breakdown on both On1 and On2 timing (same as most videos in the "fundamental techniques" category).

Does this make sense?

Saludos desde Austin a Monterrey!

Carlos
